To preserve the vintage finish and the integrity of the embroidery, handwashing in cold water is the recommended care method. Avoid machine washing and high heat, as these can shrink the distressed cotton, warp the brim, and cause the embroidery to fray.

Cleaning Instructions:
Dry Brushing: Before using water, remove loose dirt and dust by using a soft-bristled brush. This is especially important for vintage-wash fabrics to ensure dirt doesn't settle into the worn-in fibers.

Spot Cleaning: For minor stains, dab the area with a damp cloth and mild detergent. Avoid aggressive scrubbing directly on the embroidery, as the softer, washed cotton can be more prone to pilling or stitch loosening.

To dry:
No Wringing: Gently press the cap between your hands or with a clean towel to remove excess water. Never wring or twist the cap, as it will permanently distort the brim and crown.
Air Dry Only: Lay the cap flat or over a rounded object in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight, which can further fade the vintage pigment and weaken the stitching.
